QEMU is a FAST! processor emulator using dynamic translation to
achieve good emulation speed. QEMU has two operating modes:
Full system emulation and User mode emulation.

As QEMU requires no host kernel patches to run, it is very safe
and easy to use.

Note:

QEMU is known to have problems when compiled with gcc 4.x. It is
recommended that you use gcc 3.x to build QEMU. So pre-install
gcc3 into some dir like this:

  installpkg -root /opt/gcc3 /PATH/TO/gcc-3*.tgz
